Michelle Mista is a technology professional and freelance writer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She began her career as a IT professional in the Silicon Valley, providing desktop and server support for some of the Silicon Valley’s most influential companies. In 2008, she decided to leave the corporate world to pursue her dream of becoming a writer.
Despite her divergent career path, she discovered that she could not leave technology roots. She began to specialize in creating technology related content for a variety of online publications. Her work has appeared on in the Tech Tips section of Salon.com, Chron.com’s Small Business section, and the Tech and Work channels of the Life Your Way blog network.
A lifelong science and technology geek, she is a proponent of STEM education. She believes that understanding and defining how we use technology in our daily lives is the key to successfully maintaining a healthy balance with technology. She is currently working on a series of e-books on using technology in the home and homeschool and is launching a blog and YouTube channel aimed at raising tech savvy families.
In her spare time, Michelle enjoys all types of geekery including science fiction, comic books and far too much Doctor Who. She lives in the East Bay with her husband, daughter, and three dogs.
